作为电视剧导演在电视台工作的田洼优太（井之胁海饰），虽然实现了梦想，但工作忙得不可开交，每天吃饭就像吃饲料一样。曾经的热情也消失了，变得烦躁不安，每天都过着不稳定的生活。另一方面，作为厨师本应一帆风顺的佐藤耕助（金子大地饰）却不为人知地辞去了厨师的工作，现在过着家里蹲的生活 。两人是高中时代的老朋友，因为朋友离婚而再次见面。然后以某件事为契机，变成只一起吃晚饭的关系。然后，通过这样的“晚餐活动”，最终修复心灵。。Special Unit 2 is a short-lived, American sci-fi/comedy television series, filmed in Vancouver, BC and aired on UPN for two seasons from April 2001 through February 2002.
