老一代唢呐艺人焦三爷是个外冷内热的老人，看起来严肃古板，其实心怀热血。影片表现了在社会变革、民心浮躁的年代里，新老两代唢呐艺人为了信念的坚守所产生的真挚的师徒情、父子情、兄弟情。。墨弦生病进错考场，无意中考入山海学院开始学习仙法，和炽银、蓝岳相识成为了朋友，并在他们的帮助下改变了仙生们对她的偏见，结识了百草、雪铃等一帮朋友。但是随着新学期开始，麻烦也一个个接踵而来……。Back Stage is a 1919 comedy, one of the last films that Buster Keaton would appear with Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle before they went their separate ways, Keaton would get his own studio, and Arbuckle got into feature length films.
