His high school friend, who is a Vietnam War Veteran, is exerting power as a highly principled social activist...。本剧改编自朱野归子的同名小说，村上诗穗（多部未华子饰）因为过去的某件事，想把为了家人“做家务”作为工作而选择了成为在育儿和家务上奋斗的全职主妇。但在这个时代，全职主妇很少见。丈夫回家之前，和女儿两个人度过了漫长的白天。在那样的情况下，意外地与职场妈妈长野礼子（江口德子饰）和育儿休假中的精英官僚爸爸中谷达也（藤冈靛饰）等不应该遇到的人们交流了。在与生活方式和想法都完全相反的“对岸的人们”碰撞的同时，他们又将联系在一起…。
