新世纪里，在农业现代化的北国江南白洋淀，却有一群以盼虎为首的痴迷老梆子戏的娃娃小姑娘，因为年龄小，家长望子成龙或是家境贫穷，所以难圆考取戏曲学校之梦。他们几经周折，费尽苦心，甚至有的离家出走才被县剧团收为学员。后因剧团演出被外地新潮野班子剧团冲击，所以剧团只得改为综合艺术团，而难舍梆子戏的孩子们也被解散。。Jess who goes to her best friend's wedding in the middle of nowhere, where she will be confronted by her ex, her happily coupled friends from college, and the insecure monster she becomes when she is off the grid.。
