在孟买，有一位友善的、怀揣演员梦的宝莱坞电影迷--森尼，他是一名助理导演，却幻想着成为明星。然而，每一次试镜，他都被草草地踢出局。但他从未气馁，机缘巧合下跟随一个美国剧组，去到拉贾斯坦邦边远的地区，拍摄一部纪录片。有一天，一个伊斯兰恐怖组织错认森尼是美国剧组人员，而绑架了他。 森尼发现自己身处敌人的边界，而且他们都荷枪实弹，且警卫森严。而自己被囚禁的屋子是属于一位叫做阿夫塔普的巴基斯坦人，他靠贩卖印地语盗版影碟为生。这些恐怖分子决定挟持森尼作为人质，直到他们找回自己原来的目标。 经过一段时间的相处后，森尼从粗暴的守卫那赢得了不少的印象分。随后，这两派人（人质和恐怖分子）都意识到，他们的人文文化其实是同源的。那么，森尼最后的命运到底会如何呢？。Stand-up comic Deon Cole is set to return to Netflix with a third hour-long comedy special, to premiere later this year. But there's a little problem: there aren't much people living in his region, everyone knows everyone and everyone is so poor, so is gonna be difficult that someone takes Malvís/Fe...。
