Along the way, however, a gang of terrorists hijack the sub in an attempt to launch a bioweapon attack ...。1941年，日本军队快速占领了英国统治下的马来亚。男人们被抓去做苦力，但却没有地方安置妇女和儿童。本片从其中一个英国女护士的视角讲述了这个故事，她遇见了一个澳大利亚士兵，他从苦力营里面偷食物给她。战争结束后，她去了澳大利亚那个士兵家乡的小镇并在那住了下来……。
