SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. He has decided to leave, but a snow avalanche is crushed in the mountains, making it impossible for him to leave. Soon, inspector has found a body of a dead lodger. Everyone who lives in the hotel is under suspicion... (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。Erica is a rancher who has spent her whole life working the family farm with her mother and sister. When Aaron arrives and disrupts her plans, she starts to question what it is she actually wants.。慕云从小就爱上台湾本土艺术歌仔戏，这份情怀在她高中毕业后变成积极的行动，毅然加入歌仔戏团学戏，参加演出。 由于时代演变，民风不同于以往，电子媒体的娱乐取代传统娱乐，原本纯朴民风的农村百姓，胃口转变喜欢衣服穿少一点，露多一点的脱衣舞表演。 坚持传统艺术的歌仔戏失去原有的观众。每回演出台下只有小猫两三只，又以老人为多，凄凉冷落的场面和无情的时代巨轮，给慕云很大的冲击。加上眼见团员在生活压力下，有一些女团员兼做应召女或为葬礼唱牵亡魂....，使慕云的想法起了很大的改变，更为怀疑自己投入这个夕阳艺术活动究竟有什么意义？ 家风和爱卿是一对同性恋人，戏团上上下下无人不知，自从慕云加入戏班之后，家凤移情别恋，对慕云展开攻势，慕云适值情绪低落，矛盾痛苦之下勉强接受了家凤的感情，非但引起轩然大波，爱卿更因此而自杀，送医之后挽回一条命。 心情沮丧的慕云徘徊市场看到鸟圆关在笼子里的画眉鸟，居然不会啼叫，吃惊的慕云醒悟到歌仔戏的虚境，恰如失去自己一片天空的画眉鸟，慕云决定离开戏班，重回她原来所属的世界.。
