This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and...。青壮年外出打工了，年轻女子外嫁了，大杨树村尽剩下些鳏寡孤独。于是，厮守小山村的一帮半大孩子，要成为小山村的主宰。黑牛是孩子们的头头，人朴实，聪慧而又不安于现状，往往胆大妄为。暑期中，黑牛带领一帮伙伴连连惹出事端。放火烧“山”引爆石头，拦路打”截“来给姐姐做媒的媒人，卖掉爸爸遗留下来的珍宝……黑牛所做的一切，看似不可理喻，但都是出于一颗解救问题的真心……发生在这个夏天的故事，让这个小山村变得丰富而生动起来。。
