吉里原是美军的一个士兵，第二次世界大战后退伍，仍留在巴黎学习绘画。他造诣颇高，但就是一幅画也卖不出去。他同一个法国歌手亨利十分要好，他们无忧无虑地打发日子。一次，吉里结识了一位年轻活泼的法国女郎李丝。吉里很快就喜欢上她了，但他们的约会却总是来也匆匆，去也匆匆，这使吉里颇为恼火，后来他从朋友处得知，李丝的双亲在战争中死去，她已同亨利订了婚，事虽如此，吉里却越来越爱李丝...。Thomas and Thomas are going through a rough patch: they are both thirty-something actors living in Paris. They randomly decide to leave the city and fly away to Kullorsuaq, one of the most remote villages of Greenland, where Thomas' father Nathan lives. Among the Inuit community, they will discover the charms of the local customs and their friendship will be challenged.。
