平凡无奇的成年男子赵旭东（段奕宏饰）在一个矿上担任爆炸工，他技术过硬，木讷少言，日常里和小饭馆老板娘萧红（余男饰）互生好感，渐渐走到一起。可是某次下井作业突发意外，炸药配量由于出现误差引起矿难，导致人员伤亡。在此之后，旭东按照老板授意扛下了矿难的主责，并且收了一笔封口费。虽然他对萧红以及他人三缄其口，但是出于对自己技术的自信，旭东还是尝试着寻找矿坑爆炸事件的线索。果不其然，他成功发现事件发生的原因以及真正的始作俑者，但同时也揭开了幕后黑手的面纱。 人为财死鸟为食亡，挡了他人财路的赵旭东成为贪婪之人的眼中钉肉中刺……。Devon Butler is an eight-year old who dreams of being a cop.
