Follows the boundary-pushing Rubinstein as she selects Ravel to compose the music for her next ballet and requests something bold and sensual. Ravel finds himself incapable of writing anything, but in the process of reliving his memories, facing his old loves and failures, the composer ends up creating his greatest success ever: Boléro。劳勃为追求自我，遇着放荡不羁的漂流生活，由于接获父亲中风的消息，遂驱车赶回老家华盛顿州，途中和志趣相投的潘摩结为好友，并发生了一连串趣事。返家后，劳勃和家人共叙陈年旧事，在探望完病中的老父后，又踏上了他那永无休止的旅途……。动画第4期的分割播放，副标题为“走光篇”（ポロリ篇），内容为原作漫画尚未动画化的日常内容。。
