高中生千谷一也（佐藤大树饰）是一名已经出道的小说家，可是近日里，他的作品在网络上遭到的恶评之声愈演愈烈，一也已经完全不知道该如何继续在写作的道路上走下去了。巧合的是，一也的同伴同学余绫诗凪（桥本环奈饰）也是一名小说家，她的小说正在大受好评之中，照此情势看来，她的写作生涯未来一片光明。 一也的编辑策划了一个企划，那就是让已经过气的一也和炙手可热的余绫合作，创作出能够大卖的畅销作品。就这样，一个非常奇怪的组合诞生了。在合作的过程中，两人渐渐挖掘出了对方身上自己所没有的特质，默契感日渐上升，与此同时，余绫一直隐瞒的秘密也渐渐的浮出了水面。。一个名为舒莉（芭妮塔·桑德胡饰）的女孩，每年都会热切期盼着十月的到来。那是茉莉盛开的季节，花儿将整夜的飘落，撒满一地。花期是如此的短暂，舒莉最终也如同茉莉般凋零了。多么短暂的美丽啊，就这样匆匆的走了，留给丹（瓦伦·达瓦饰）一生牵挂......。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
