While most of the later movies exploited this possibility for B-movi...。故事发生在民国初年，江南望族姚家的少奶奶曾淡云（林韦君饰）被二奶奶赵翠屏诬陷，被指控她与管家刘子浩（江宏恩饰）有私通关系。曾淡云怀孕的身体遭到了姚家家法桃花烙的处罚。刘子浩好心相救，并将曾淡云带回了他的老家，介绍给自己的妻子宝春认识。 曾淡云在刘子浩的陪伴下顺利分娩，生下了一个女婴，而同一天，宝春却遭遇难产，产下一个儿子后就离世了。多年后，赵翠屏得知曾淡云的下落，并错误地认为刘子浩的儿子是姚家的后代，于是强行夺走了孩子，将其改名为姚靖石（霍政谚饰）。曾淡云的女儿念慈也被沈家收养，改名为沈雁容。。
