When he finds out that his father Peter has been imprisoned by the authorities and he and his mother Hannah are labeled traitors, Djata vows he will not rest until he sees his father again.。顾家源（马德钟饰）原为一音乐教师，新婚妻子谷慧庭（宣萱饰）在电视城担任导演，小两口甜蜜的二人世界还没享受几天，5个孩子就仿佛从天而降来到了他们的小家庭。原来，家源的姐姐、姐夫相继亡故了，唯一的亲人家源就成了姐姐5个孩子的监护人。为了不让孩子们伤心，家源骗他们说他们的父亲在遥远的非洲行医，而为了更好的照顾孩子们，家源甚至放弃了教职，而选择了工作清闲得多的在琴行担任教师。这样一间大屋内住着两家共7个人，人与人之间的摩擦、孩子们成长的烦恼共同构成了一幅幅温馨的家庭画面。。
