A parable about the situation of the First Nations, seen from a female perspective.。老中医葛仁义和师哥合开一家中医诊所福安堂，师兄的意外辞世，让庸医老葛成了福安堂的一堂之主。老葛的误诊，让福安堂陷入危机，主攻西医的儿媳杜媛媛力挽狂澜，拯救了福安堂。从此福安堂变成了中西合并的诊所。欣喜之余老葛发现，自己在诊所以及家里的霸主地位遭到了动摇，老葛开始与儿媳明争暗斗。老葛扶老太引出一段忘年恋；大儿子葛当归当不了律师当厨师；二儿子葛刀豆要让福安堂上市……故事过后，老葛一家人仍然继续着自己的生活。。
