男主吴有财，一个出生在农村、奋斗在城市的普通青年，盼望有朝一日能够飞黄腾达，好衣锦还乡、造福乡里。一次偶然机会他暂时扮演老板，期间回到村里，在虚荣心的驱使下夸下海口帮村里建校修路、借钱给村民办事，然而纸终包不住火，闹出一系列啼笑皆非的故事。。五个年青人天性活泼好动，口袋里经常所剩无几，但依然乐观向上，一天他们来到一歌舞厅，经理同意让他们试唱，演出在即阿伦却入院，晓芬想起一位酷似阿伦的人，将其请来凑合上台，结果大获成功。此人乃是富商子弟世华因逃婚而离家，二人从移位到回位经历了一段本不属于自己的人生片段……。Whitney (Wagner) owns Marietta Designs, an interior design firm which she runs with her friend, Andi (Tegan Moss).
