《融和不容易 mixed-ish》原定在《喜新不厌旧》美国时间5月7日「Becoming Bow」一集中以后门试映集登场，不过现在此集将抽起改为在正剧中播出。由Peter Saji及Kenya Barris执笔的《融和不容易》描述Rainbow Johnson（Tracee Ellis Ross饰）在80年代所过的混合种族生活，Rainbow的父母Paul 及Alicia为了更好的家庭生活而从嬉皮士社区搬到郊区，Rainbow及其姐弟入读了当地主流学校，而他们在此既不够黑亦不够白。 Anders Holm饰演Paul Johnson，Rainbow父亲（此角会重新选人）﹑Arica Himmel饰演小孩版女主﹑Tika Sumpter饰演母亲Alicia Johnson﹑Christina Anthony饰演Denise﹑Mykal-Michelle...。这12个人以为他们是在参加真人秀选拔的最后一轮。而实际上，他们的行为举止已经被偷偷地拍摄下来，以决定谁能赢取十万欧元的奖金。Two years have passed, and Kartika lives with Hendro and Linda.
