Hugo's life is not easy, he is a very lonely boy and his mother is forced to move away from him, but he has the support and protection of a respected old man: Arnau Estanyol.。朱秀容（关咏荷饰）经营着一间烧饼铺，生意极好，誉满京城。尽管朱秀容容貌端庄秀丽个性又热情开朗，但家中有一十分难缠的瞎母（吴云芳饰），因此屡屡吓跑想要山门提亲之人，于是，年近三十的朱秀容至今依旧孤身一人，待嫁闺中。 萧璃（关咏荷饰）贵为皇后是高高在上的一国之母，然而却三年为见夫君，只因为皇帝沉迷于木工活中无心管理朝政，更无心顾及妻子。这两位个性和身份的迥然不同的女子，却因为极为相似的容貌而被命运联系到了一起，大大咧咧的朱秀容误打误撞进了宫，而温婉可人的萧璃则遭到了丞相之妹梁凤（刘洁饰）的追杀，躲进了烧饼铺，两段人生就此逆转。。
